Shop Manager Online

Shop Manager Online is a new service from Intech Ltd - the
company that developed first DeccoLink and then DeccoNet.

It is aimed at retailers in the hardware, housewares, DIY and
gardening sectors. It provides EPOS systems in your shop and
links them to your own online database.

Unlike conventional EPOS systems where the data server is on
your own premises and is bought and maintained by you
Intech's new idea is to use our own powerful online servers
to store your data. You no longer need the time and expense
of buying and maintaining your system. The EPOS devices can
work offline or online but for everything else you work online.

The advantages of this new approach:-

1. No need to buy, maintain or administer complex new
computer systems.
2. No need to be involved in daily backups and recovery
procedures

3. Access your system from the shop, any other
business premises, home, holiday, family etc
Your data is protected by your own private password. It is
secured every hour by Intech and a standby server would be
available within minutes in the event of a failure. The
server is online 21 hours a day ( closed for backups from
02:00am until 05:00am). Apart from that it has been online
continually for the past two years with the exception of a
one hour downtime.

As part of the service we will provide you with a Broadband
ADSL connection and you will be instantly online to both your
own data and the Internet from either your EPOS devices or
from any 'back office' computers that you wish to use.

Intech are proud to have worked alongside Decco for many
years. We developed DeccoLink in 1989 and DeccoNet in 2002.
This partnership can bring great benefits to users of Shop
Manager Online. With your permission we can use data from the
Decco systems to get you started and help you on your way.
When we first set you up you can opt to have as your product
file every product that you have bought from Decco over the
past two years. The barcodes from each product are available
and perhaps also a SRP. Thereafter orders can be placed
automatically to Decco and other suppliers. Whenever you
receive goods from Decco you can opt to have your stock
levels and barcode data automatically updated. Whenever
Decco update their prices you can opt to be prompted to
review yours. Whenever Decco add or delete lines you can opt
to be reminded about the changes. Using Links to DeccoNet you
can see what are the best selling lines in any of your Decco
product areas.
